Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Hands-on Diesel Mechanic role based in our Townsville depot working on trucks, trailers and fleet vehicles. Responsibilities include diagnostics, fault finding, servicing, and repairs across brakes, suspension, steering and engines, along with welding and basic auto electrical work (12V/24V), ensuring all work meets. The role offers reliable weekly pay, job stability, and a focus on work-life balance. What You’ll Be Doing Perform diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Service and maintain brakes, suspension, steering systems, and engines. Carry out welding and basic auto electrical work (12V/24V). Order, replace, and maintain parts according to quality and safety standards. Minimise fleet downtime by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and fully operational.
