The important parts: Pay: $100–$140 per hour Super | ⏳ Duration : 3–4 month contract Hours : Monday–Friday | 40 hrs per week Location: Parramatta, NSW What you will be required to do: You will provide practical, hands‑on risk and compliance support during a period of transition, delivering priority initiatives and strengthening governance frameworks across a complex government environment. Supporting delivery of priority risk management and compliance initiatives aligned to NSW Government frameworks Providing practical advice to identify, assess and manage key organisational risks Coordinating risk and compliance projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting Supporting business units to improve risk and compliance maturity and framework consistency Contributing to organisational resilience activities, including business continuity, incident management and crisis preparedness Maintaining and updating business resilience and incident management plans, including coordinating testing activities Supporting fraud and corruption prevention controls, including monitoring mitigation actions Assisting with internal audit activities, including tracking and reporting on audit actions Preparing briefings, reports and governance papers to support senior decision‑making Engaging with stakeholders and undertaking targeted research to support continuous improvement To be successful in the role you will: Have demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, audit or governance roles Possess a strong understanding of risk frameworks, compliance obligations and assurance processes Be able to deliver outcomes within short timeframes while managing competing priorities Have strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and communication skills Have experience preparing briefings and governance materials for senior stakeholders Government or complex organisational experience is desirable Experience in business continuity, resilience or incident management is highly regarded What’s on offer for you: Short‑term contract with clear deliverables and priorities Opportunity to support enterprise‑level risk, compliance and governance uplift Exposure to a complex stakeholder environment within a NSW Government agency High‑impact role during a period of organisational transition Collaborative, outcomes‑focused working environment Synergie Australia delivers a full 360º recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services , and more.
