Your New Role As Manager, Member Operations Compliance, you will lead and mature the first‑line compliance function across Member Operations within the Member domain. Reporting to the Principal, Member Operations Compliance, you are a key leader within the Member Governance & Accountability function and a trusted adviser to key stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting ongoing compliance with superannuation and financial services regulatory obligations, including but not limited to the SIS Act, Corporations Act, licence conditions and prudential standards. The role plays a critical part in regulator engagement, breach and incident management, general advice governance, and ensuring member communications and operational practices meet regulatory expectations. Leading a team of compliance specialists and analysts, you will drive a strong Members First compliance culture, provide expert technical advice, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives and regulatory change across Member Operations. Key responsibilities include but is not limited to Lead and mature the first‑line compliance capability across Member Operations Provide strategic compliance advice and technical subject‑matter expertise on superannuation and financial services regulations Oversee compliance reviews and sign‑offs of materials and programs across Member Operations Manage and coordinate responses to regulatory reviews, information requests, incidents and breach obligations Partner with business leaders to embed regulatory requirements into operations, projects and change initiatives Contribute and drive high‑quality compliance reporting and insights for leadership, executive and governance forums Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing compliance team, fostering accountability, engagement and continuous improvement Build strong, influential relationships across Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 functions and external stakeholders Champion a strong risk and compliance culture aligned to the Fund’s values and purpose What You’ll Need 7 years’ experience within superannuation in similar or relevant role Strong understanding of superannuation compliance regulations Deep knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations and prudential standards Proven leadership experience, including people management and leading teams through complexity and change Strong judgement, analytical capability and the ability to operate effectively in high‑pressure environments Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and regulators Commercially astute, pragmatic and outcomes‑focused RG146 accreditation Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
