We’re currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Control – Residential Development to support our VIC Residential Development portfolio. Your opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Financial Control – Residential, this role is responsible for financial accounting deliverables across the Victorian Residential portfolio. This is a hands on role that will see you require you to partner closely with your team, Commercial Finance partners and Group Functions to ensure accurate, compliant and high quality financial outcomes. We’re looking for a curious mindset, who will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement. Key responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger accounts for wholly owned entities, joint ventures and joint operations within the Victorian portfolio Deliver monthly close activities including inventory reconciliations sales, COGS, interest and balance sheet reconciliations Review BAS calculations and act as primary contact for Group Tax on the VIC portfolio Prepare and review audit workpapers and coordinate responses to audit queries Provide direction, review outputs and monitor performance of the offshore shared services team Contribute to system, process and data improvement initiatives Actively contribute to a collaborative, values led team culture What you’ll bring CA or CPA qualification 3–5 years’ relevant commercial accounting experience Technical accounting capability with practical application of accounting standards Sound knowledge of income tax and GST principles Experience working with large ERP systems Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Exposure to property development and/or construction environments Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders A proactive, detail‑focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities A genuine alignment to Mirvac’s values and ways of working Life at Mirvac At Mirvac, We Put People First.
