As a Security Regulatory Reporting Officer, you will help coordinate security compliance activities, analyse data, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the Department meets important regulatory obligations such as the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS). About the Role As a Security Regulatory Reporting Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating the Department's security compliance and attestation activities. You will analyse security data, support stakeholders with regulatory reporting requirements, and help drive continuous improvement in compliance processes. What you'll be doing In this role you will: Support security compliance and attestation activities (including VPDSS) Support corporate teams and schools to embed security requirements into business processes Analyse compliance data to inform recommendations to senior leadership. Develop communications, guidance materials and training to support stakeholder compliance. Contribute to improvements in compliance processes, including automation and reporting enhancements. Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory queries What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who is passionate about security governance and improving organisational cyber maturity, with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. Essential: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Cyber Security or related field Knowledge of security frameworks such as VPDSS, PSPF, Essential Eight or ISO 27001 Experience in compliance monitoring, reporting, attestation or audit coordination Strong analytical and data interpretation skills Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CRISC Experience with risk frameworks such as ISO 31000, COBIT, NIST or SOC2 Experience using Excel, SQL, Power Automate or data visualisation tools How to Apply Applicants are required to submit a CV and a cover letter summarising their skills and experience.
