The team is responsible for embedding ASIC's risk operating model, maintaining enterprise frameworks, and partnering with leaders to uplift compliance, controls and resilience capability across the organisation. The role As Senior Manager, Enterprise Compliance & Assurance, you will lead ASIC's Central Compliance function and Controls Assurance capability, strengthening the connection between regulatory obligations, risk management and control effectiveness. You will be accountable for: Leading ASIC's enterprise compliance and controls assurance framework, ensuring it is integrated, risk‑based and aligned to ASIC's strategic priorities and risk appetite. Setting and delivering the enterprise compliance and assurance strategy, including oversight of the rolling assurance plan for material obligations, risks and group controls. Providing authoritative advice and high‑quality reporting to senior leadership, Executive Committees, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Commission. Translating complex legislative, regulatory and policy obligations into practical, fit‑for‑purpose compliance arrangements across the business. Building organisational capability through compliance training, strong Line 1 ownership, effective incident reporting, and continuous improvement of ASIC's Governance, Risk and Compliance platform (Beacon). You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (up to six direct reports) and work closely with senior stakeholders across ASIC. About you You are a seasoned senior leader with deep expertise in compliance, risk, assurance or regulatory environments, and a track record of operating at enterprise scale. You will bring: Extensive senior experience in compliance, risk, legal, audit or regulatory roles, including people leadership in complex organisations. Demonstrated success designing, implementing and overseeing enterprise compliance and controls assurance frameworks. Strong understanding of controls design, testing and assurance, ideally within a regulatory or public sector context. Advanced stakeholder engagement, influence and communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to executive audiences.
