The opportunity The Social Support Program Officer plays a key role in delivering person centred, engaging and high quality programs for aged clients and people with disabilities. Working closely with the Social Support and Community Transport team, in this role you'll focus on program planning, logistics and compliance, while providing direct support to participants, fostering social connection and wellbeing, and supporting smooth, safe and meaningful day-to-day service delivery. What you’ll be doing Planning, coordinating and evaluating social support programs aligned with participant needs and funding requirements Managing program logistics, including scheduling, resources, catering and transport coordination Supervising and supporting staff, casuals, volunteers and student placements to maintain safe and effective service delivery Leading and facilitating social, recreational and wellbeing activities that promote inclusion, independence and dignity Ensuring compliance with CHSP, HACC PYP, HBCC policies, food safety, OHS and reporting requirements What you'll need to succeed Qualification in Social Work, Community Development or Community Services (or relevant experience in aged care/disability) Strong organisational and logistics capability with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and stakeholders Experience working with aged people or clients with disability Understanding of program planning, monitoring, evaluation and compliance frameworks Current Victorian Driver’s Licence First Aid qualification desirable To be considered for this role applications should include A maximum 2-page cover letter which should outline your interest in the role A current CV which includes key achievements & relevant qualifications Uncover more about this role in the Position Description attached below, or contact Mahongo Fumbelo, Community Support Coordinator via careers@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au Applications will be accepted until 11:30pm on 9 April 2026 .
