About The Role The Briefing Officer works as part of the Business Operations team to coordinate the provision of advice and correspondence responses on behalf of the ICT Services division for the Chief Information Officer. The position demands high levels of confidentiality and discretion and is subject to periods of high intensity workload, with rapidly changing priorities, where meeting deadlines is essential. The Briefing Officer reports to the Business Support Manager for all day-to-day activities. The role works closely with all levels of the ICT Services Division and key areas of the organisation, including the Office of the Minister for Education, Training and Skills, and the Office of the Chief Executive, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Information Officer. The position operates in a highly demanding and dynamic ICT environment where confidentiality and integrity are essential. The officer will be required to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and is expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of ICT processes, priorities, and issues within the Division. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent experience. Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
