6 month role with possible extension Brisbane CBD based Our Queensland Government client is looking for an experienced and collaborative Tribunal Coordinator to join a key business unit. You will validate and manage an allocated caseload of referrals from Queensland workers’ compensation insurers, overseeing the process from referral to final outcome. You will ensure legislative requirements have been met, providing technical advice and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Desirable skills and knowledge: practical experience in interpreting and applying workers' compensation or similar legislation; experience in customer service and complaints management; experience in managing caseloads in a process driven environment; high level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate while maintaining effective working relationships; practical experience in word processing, data entry or electronic file management in a paperless office; and ability to prioritise, manage timeframes and multi-task to meet deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include: 1) Independently managing an allocated caseload of insurer referrals including but not limited to: managing the referral from receipt to outcome ensuring legislative requirements are being met; triaging referrals and confirming that all the mandatory and relevant materials are available in accordance with guidelines; overseeing administration activities involved in the tribunal process; conducting a quality review of typed tribunal findings to ensure robust decision-making processes; accurately recording and maintaining tribunal files in the electronic case management systems; and identifying risks and coordinating security arrangements with the leadership team, where required. 2) Liaising with workers, their representatives, insurers and tribunal doctors in relation to the tribunal process; and 3) Providing a positive and supportive experience for all internal and external stakeholders by taking steps to ensure tribunal processes are as efficient and effective as possible, always treating people with professionalism and respect.
