The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will take primary responsibility for the timely production of high-quality engineering design and fabrication drawings. This role requires a detailed understanding of how standards impact design, as you bridge the gap between conceptual sketches and manufacturing-ready documentation. Key Responsibilities: Design Execution: Prepare detailed mechanical/structural fabrication drawings that meet strict project specifications. Change Management: Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in close consultation with Project Engineers. Manufacturing Support: Respond to manufacturing queries promptly. Database Management: Facilitate the upkeep of the engineering database and maintain accurate engineering timesheets. Collaboration: Proactively participate in meetings and keep the Engineering Manager well-informed on project status. What You Bring: Qualifications: A Diploma or Certificate in Engineering. Experience: A minimum of five years’ full-time professional experience working on mechanical/structural projects. Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for mechanical/structural drafting. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with document control policies and a strong understanding of design standards. Professionalism: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to completing tasks effectively and efficiently.
