Financial Accountant Sydney CBD Global High-End Retail Group | High-Visibility Role The Opportunity This is a high-quality opportunity to join the Australian arm of a globally recognised, US-listed luxury retail group operating across multiple iconic brands. The business is currently undergoing a strategic transformation, following a significant global divestment and renewed focus on its core brand portfolio. This has created a need for a high-calibre Financial Accountant to join a lean, high-performing finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers strong exposure across financial reporting, month-end, and regional stakeholder engagement within a globally integrated structure. Key Responsibilities Ownership of month-end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations Preparation of statutory accounts in line with IFRS requirements Balance sheet integrity and review across key areas including inventory and leases Supporting group reporting requirements and deadlines (US parent) Partnering with retail and operational stakeholders across ANZ Assisting with audit processes and continuous improvement initiatives About You CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) Background in Big 4 / mid-tier audit, or first move into industry (candidates with prior retail/high-end luxury goods exposure with non-chartered background encouraged to apply) Exposure to retail, consumer or inventory-driven environments (highly regarded) Strong technical accounting foundation (IFRS) High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Confident communicator with the ability to engage with both local and international stakeholders Why This Role?
