This is a newly created opportunity for a hands-on Management Accountant to take ownership of the finance function within a growing SME. Working closely with the CEO and external accountants, you’ll step into a standalone role and play a key part in both day-to-day financial management and broader business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) Weekly reporting across AP/AR, cashflow, and stock Month-end processes including journals, accrals, and reconciliations Cashflow forecasting and monitoring Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling Providing insights on margins, costs, and business performance Managing BAS, payroll tax, FBT and compliance requirements Supporting year-end, audit, and external accountants Driving systems improvements (including Xero and evolving platforms) Transitioning manual processes into more efficient, scalable solutions Ad hoc reporting and business partnering with leadership About You CA/CPA qualified with a Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 years’ experience in a Management Accountant or similar role Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero or similar systems Comfortable working in a standalone, hands-on role Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders No ego—willing to roll up your sleeves and get into the detail Nice to Have Experience in SME or high-growth environments Exposure to system implementation or process improvement Experience with multi-entity structures or foreign currency Why Apply?
