Im working with a rapidly scaling engineering environment tackling complex RF challenges in real-world, high-stakes applications, and we need a Principal RF Engineer Think full signal chain ownership, not isolated components. What you'll be doing: ✓ Leading RF system architecture and detailed design ✓ Designing wideband RF circuitry across the full signal chain (generation → antenna) ✓ Working on high-power RF systems, high-speed interfaces, and modular platforms ✓ Guiding engineers on SCH/PCB design (Altium) and best practices ✓ Driving validation, testing, and troubleshooting at both module and system level ✓ Solving real problems: interference, signal integrity, range, reliability ✓ Mentoring engineers and lifting overall engineering standards What you need: ~15 years in RF design within complex engineering environments Deep expertise across: ✓ RF link budgets, noise, non-linearities ✓ RF transceivers, amplifiers (LNA/PA), filters, ADC/DAC ✓ High-speed digital RF PCB design ✓ Strong hands-on with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analysers, signal generators) ✓ Experience using tools like ADS, CST, Microwave Office (or similar) ✓ Ability to move between architecture and hands-on design ➕ Nice to have: ✓ Experience with Software Defined Radio / DSP architectures ✓ Antenna design or measurement experience ✓ Exposure to high-power RF systems or advanced signal environments ✓ Background in systems where performance and reliability are non-negotiable ⚠️ Reality check: If your experience is narrow (component-level or purely simulation), this won't land. This role needs someone who understands end-to-end RF systems in the real world—and can lead from the front. Adelaide or Sydney-based If you want to work on genuinely complex RF systems where the engineering bar is high -> let's talk
