Qld Government Department Brisbane CBD Office - Must be Brisbane based Collaborative team environment Reporting to the Manager, Culture and Capability, Health Service Partnerships Unit, this position of Principal Project Offcer plays an important role in the design, implementation, delivery and coordination of leadership and management capability development programs and initiatives to support the capability development of the workforce. Key accountabilities: Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with the department's core values, as outlined above. Analyse and identify capability and learning needs based on stakeholder engagement, relevant data sources and business needs. Design and develop contemporary capability and training solutions to enhance workforce capability and support business objectives. Facilitate the delivery of learning and development programs, applying adult learning principles, to support the capability development of the workforce. Lead and manage specified projects in line with contemporary project management methodologies to support the design and delivery of learning and development products and services to the workforce. Lead the design and delivery of group process design including diagnostic tool debriefs, strategic planning sessions, coaching and mentoring, culture improvement initiatives. Promote and ensure the use of appropriate change management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality learning and development outcomes are delivered. Oversee, analyse and report project related trends, evaluation data and performance against project objectives and strategic intent. Prepare and disseminate high quality documentation including plans and materials for specific project activities associated with achieving project objectives. Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders and senior management on specific issues relating to areas of responsibility. Initiate, develop and maintain networks with and between internal and external stakeholders and facilitate effective communication. Proactively identify external trends and developments in practice and consider relevance and benefits of application to areas of responsibility. Proactively continue to develop own technical knowledge and expertise to serve the functions of the role and the environment. Provide authoritative advice to senior and executive management using effective written communications skills in the development of learning and project material, correspondence including Departmental briefings, and reports. Demonstrated experience required for this role: Demonstrated high level knowledge of contemporary approaches to the design and delivery of learning and development products and services. Experience facilitating the delivery of learning and development programs and group process design, applying adult learning principles. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead consultation and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders to form collaborative solutions and implement appropriate strategic responses. Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments.
