We are seeking experienced CSWIP‑certified Welding Inspectors to support quality‑critical welding inspection activities across two flagship Australian projects: Onshore Gas Plant (WA) and a Major Renewable energy development (NSW). These roles suit inspectors with strong experience in pressure piping, flowlines, SMP and structural welding, who are comfortable working to strict client specifications in safety‑critical energy environments. Key Responsibilities Inspect welding activities in accordance with approved WPS, ITPs, drawings and client specifications Conduct fit‑up, in‑process and final visual inspections (VT) on piping, flowlines and structural welds Verify welder qualifications, consumables control, materials traceability and heat/parameter compliance Coordinate and review NDT activities (UT, RT, PAUT, MT, PT) and manage repair close‑out Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, supporting test pack compilation and sign‑off Raise and close NCRs, manage weld maps, inspection records and QA documentation Interface with construction teams, NDT contractors, QA management and client representatives Mandatory Requirements CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (essential) Proven experience on onshore gas plants, pipelines, processing facilities or major infrastructure projects Strong working knowledge of ASME, API and/or AS/NZS welding and piping standards Experience inspecting carbon steel, low‑alloy and stainless steel piping and structural components High level of documentation discipline and attention to detail Full Australian working rights Highly Desirable Trade‑qualified background (Boilermaker / Pipe Welder) Experience with flowlines, tie‑ins, pressure piping, SMP and brownfield works Previous experience on hydro, power generation or major renewable energy projects CSWIP 3.2 or additional inspection qualifications For more information, please contact Rod on or DRD Group is a specialist recruitment provider renowned for recruiting quality project teams on major projects within the Energy, Resources, Defence, Renewables and Infrastructure sectors.
