2/1 Roster | DIDO | Competitive Rates Our people and our culture are the cornerstone of our offering Major Construction Project About the Project Genus has been engaged to deliver works on the 300 MW Wagerup Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) — a grid-critical development designed to store excess renewable energy and release it during peak demand. This project will play an important role in strengthening WA’s energy network and supporting the clean energy transition. About the Role We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the safe delivery of construction activities across the project. Working closely with project leaders, supervisors, and crews, you will provide on-site safety guidance, ensure compliance with HSE systems, and help drive a strong safety culture across the workforce. This role is offered on a 2:1 roster with DIDO from Perth to Wagerup (approx. 120 km south of Perth). Camp accommodation and meals are provided for distance workers, while local candidates may work daily DIDO with travel allowances. Key Responsibilities Provide site-based HSE support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors Monitor and ensure compliance with Genus SHEQ systems, procedures, and legislative requirements Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations Support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions Facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, and workforce engagement initiatives Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and safety documentation Promote and reinforce a positive safety culture across site activities About You Previous experience in a HSE Advisor or similar safety role within construction, infrastructure, or energy projects Strong understanding of safety legislation, risk management, and site safety systems Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors Experience on large-scale construction or energy projects highly regarded Relevant HSE qualifications (Cert IV in WHS or equivalent) preferred What’s on Offer 2:1 roster with DIDO options from Perth Accommodation and meals provided for distance workers Opportunity to work on a landmark renewable energy project Join a growing ASX-listed infrastructure company delivering major energy projects across Australia About Genus Genus is a leading construction and maintenance provider specialising in power, renewable energy, and resources infrastructure.
