The Team: The Finance team undertakes all finance functions of the agency. Managing departmental, administered and user-pays revenue, the team prepares the internal and external budgets and provides regular advice to the Executive on financial management issues. The Role: The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the leadership, strategic management and organisation wide delivery of critical finance functions. The key duties of the position include The duties of the Chief Financial Officer include, but are not limited to: Developing and maintaining innovative, effective, and efficient strategic workforce plans for Sport Integrity Australia Developing strategic policy that aligns financial management with Sport Integrity's strategic direction Providing strategic and operational advice on a range of finance issues Managing, co-ordinating and/or participating in complex projects Preparation of a range of reports, briefs, and correspondence, including but not limited to the Annual Report, Ministerial/Senate Estimate Briefs, and questions on notice Ongoing development and delivery of a high-quality financial performance framework providing regular reporting on performance against Sport Integrity Australia's strategic objectives Ensuring organisational compliance with relevant finance legislation, applicable Australian accounting standards, and government standards and guidelines Commitment to continuous improvement The key accountabilities include: Ensure that confidentially is maintained Ensure legislative and other external obligations are met in a timely manner Ensure that APS Values and Code of Conduct are followed Endorse and encourage 'best practice' recordkeeping in accordance with Sport Integrity Australia's Record Keeping Policy and Information Governance Framework Ensure the development of policy meets the needs of the organisation a Provide professional financial advice contributing to business outcomes in line with government legislation and policy
