What We’re Looking For: We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Legal and Procurement Branch. The Legal and Procurement Branch is responsible for the provision and sourcing of legal and procurement advice, and the maintenance of the legal and procurement frameworks. About this role: The primary role of the Procurement Specialist is to provide practical support to the organisation in relation to procurement activities including identifying and implementing new initiatives and improvements that align with better practice and facilitate the business achieving their outcomes. Responsibilities of this role: The key responsibilities of this role include: Provide support, guidance, advice and mentoring on best procurement practise to Icon Water’s business units to ensure application and embedding of consistent processes and compliance with the Procurement Framework, ensuring value for money. Advise, review, and assist on a range of RFx’s; preparation, evaluation, contract negotiations and procurement enquiries. Acquire and effectively apply procurement and contract management activities/skills and knowledge. Work independently and within a small team that operates in a complex and dynamic environment with competing priorities and timeframes. Consult with Icon Water’s business units to become a trusted advisor, developing and providing input into recommended short, medium, and long-term procurement plans and strategies. Identify and implement ideas for improvement in procurement and contract management practices to resolve problems, enhance business results and facilitate Icon Water achieving its outcomes. Ensure Icon Water procurement data (including the procurement and contracts register) on contract performance and management, and benchmarking and analysis of supplier is captured. Identify ongoing procurement savings on a category management basis. Supervise Procurement Advisors and assisting the Team Leader Procurement. Assist in procurement audits, as and when required.
