About the team: The Cancer Information and Support Services Division (CISS) aims to empower and support people affected by cancer, so that no-one faces cancer alone. This Division assists people as they navigate the cancer journey, easing their emotional and practical burdens and helping them make informed decisions. The Practical Support Services team provides support to people affected by cancer, ensuring practical needs are met throughout their cancer trajectory. The services offered include transport and accommodation to treatment, pro bono legal, financial and workplace advice, and financial support provided by financial counsellors and financial capability workers and the provision of temporary financial relief. This role is responsible for carrying out administrative tasks that support the delivery of information and support services to people affected by cancer, with a primary focus on supporting the delivery of Practical Support Services to clients. Please note this is a 12-month contract with full time hours. Key responsibilities of the role: •Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective provision of Cancer Council’s Practical Support Services to people affected by cancer, including but not limited to: -Process financial transactions, complete financial reconciliations and process temporary financial hardship vouchers, including monitoring usage and ordering voucher stock. -Enter and maintain accurate client data in a CRM, including monitoring and supporting external healthcare professionals to submit requests for clients. -Liaise with stakeholders including healthcare professionals, service providers and suppliers regarding the delivery of support services via phone and email. -Communicate with patients and carers seeking practical and other support including intake and assessment and service coordination and delivery. •Provide high quality administrative and office support to the Divisional leadership team (including Director) to ensure effective and efficient operations within the CISS Division. •Demonstrate a client centric culture by actively working to enhance the client experience across our staff and services. About you: Essential: •Demonstrated experience of providing accurate administrational support in an office environment. •High attention to detail and experience recording and processing high-volume data entry. •Experience in managing accounts and accounts payable tasks. •Sound computer skills in CRM or database management, Excel, MS Office suite. •Excellence in customer service including verbal & written communication. •Proven relationship management and organisational skills. Desirable: •Basic knowledge of or interest in oncology, cancer services and the needs of people affected by cancer. •Experience communicating with vulnerable clients.
