ROLE TITLE: People Programs Associate Manager For CANBERRA LOCATION only The People Programs Associate Manager will play a key supporting role in delivering talent, engagement, and inclusion programs that enable a positive and impactful employee experience. Reporting to the People Programs lead, this role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the successful execution of people initiatives across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and engagement to leadership development, employee voice, and recognition. This position is ideal for a passionate HR professional who is highly organised, adaptable, and eager to grow their experience across multiple people focused workstreams. You will help ensure the smooth execution of programs that enhance culture, build capability, and contribute to Accenture’s broader people and transformation goals. Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination & Support : Support the implementation of people programs, including planning, tracking, and coordinating logistics. Work closely with HR and cross-functional teams to ensure programs are delivered on time and to a high standard. Early career strategy and program: Build location and Service Delivery Centre growth through structured early careers programs and partnerships aligned to the Canberra/SDC growth strategy and ongoing integration. Inclusion & Wellbeing Initiatives : Support the delivery of inclusion, safety, and wellbeing programs that foster an equitable and inclusive culture. Recognition Programs : Manage and coordinate employee recognition programs to ensure they are timely, meaningful, and aligned with company values. Employee Experience Support : Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, supporting the delivery of listening sessions, events, and campaigns that build a positive employee experience. Communications & Content Creation : Prepare engaging internal communications, presentations, and program materials. Ensure consistency in messaging and brand tone across touchpoints. Data & Reporting : Assist with gathering, analysing, and reporting on people program data and feedback. Help identify trends and insights to inform program enhancements. Workshops : Organise learning, leadership, and engagement events including scheduling, communications, and other coordination requirements. Change Management Support : Assist in delivering communications and engagement materials to support people-related change initiatives. Collaboration : Partner closely with the People Programs Manager, HR Business Partners, and other team members to ensure alignment and synergy across initiatives. Key Requirements: Experience in HR, employee engagement, or related people-focused roles, ideally with exposure to employee surveys, recognition, or inclusion initiatives. Demonstrated capability in designing, delivering, and evolving early career programs, ideally within Canberra, with a strong understanding of the local public sector, university, and early talent ecosystem. Strong program and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex, fast-moving environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting clear, compelling internal communications, program materials, or leadership updates. Data literate and insight driven, able to interpret survey results, feedback, and talent data to inform program design and continuous improvement. Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively, building trusted relationships across HR, business leaders, and external partners. Highly adaptable and proactive, with the judgement to shift focus as priorities evolve and the initiative to drive outcomes through ambiguity. Strong capability in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with HR systems, survey tools, or early careers platforms is advantageous. A strong customer-focused mindset and a passion for contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Desirable Skills: Strong understanding of Inclusion & Diversity landscape, including early careers pipelines, universities, and external partners across the public and private sectors. Familiarity with employee listening, engagement surveys, and/or recognition platforms, with the ability to translate insights into targeted program actions. Working knowledge of global and Australian Inclusion & Diversity priorities, including relevant regulatory or policy considerations in a government-facing environment. Experience contributing to or delivering internal communication campaigns, engagement initiatives, or change programs. Exposure to change management principles or HR project coordination, supporting initiatives through design, delivery, and adoption. Proven experience working across cross functional teams, partnering effectively with HR, business leaders, and external stakeholders. Australian citizenship, or the ability to meet Australian Government security requirements.
