About our Role Join the Barminco team as an Underground Raisebore Operator and play a critical role in delivering safe and efficient raise drilling across our underground mining operations in Western Australia. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of raiseboring equipment, contributing to ventilation, ore pass, and infrastructure development to support site productivity. What will your day to day look like? Operate raiseboring equipment to complete production and service holes in line with mine plans. Set up and align raisebore drills, including installation of drill strings and cutters. Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on raisebore equipment. Monitor drilling performance and ground conditions, adjusting parameters as required. Safely manage rod handling, breakout, and reaming activities. Identify and report hazards, ground conditions, and equipment issues. Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and underground crews to meet production targets. Maintain high safety standards in all underground environments. Our ideal candidate background includes Previous experience as a Raisebore Operator in underground mining. Strong understanding of raiseboring processes, equipment, and ground control. Experience with various raisebore rigs and associated equipment (highly regarded). Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures. Relevant operating tickets and licences. Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence). What can we offer you?
