Due to the highly secure nature of the environment, an active NV1 Security Clearance is strictly required for this position. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, securing, and optimizing complex enterprise container platforms. You will act as the technical SME for Kubernetes and Red Hat ecosystems, driving automation and continuous delivery. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Lead the end-to-end deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift clusters across cloud, on-premises, and dedicated environments. Oversee core cluster architecture, managing control planes, worker nodes, and operators to ensure peak system performance, scalability, and high availability. Proactively monitor system health and resource allocation, swiftly diagnosing and resolving complex cluster disruptions, networking faults, and container runtime errors. Execute seamless security patching and version upgrades in strict alignment with enterprise change management protocols. Engineer and sustain robust automation workflows leveraging GitOps methodologies (e.g., Argo CD), Helm, Ansible, and OpenShift Pipelines. Empower development squads by refining build configurations, establishing containerization best practices, and standardizing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton). Champion platform security by configuring strict network policies, secrets management, RBAC, and container image scanning, while integrating identity solutions (OAuth, SSO, LDAP). Administer complex networking topologies (OpenShift SDN, service meshes, load balancers) and manage persistent storage integrations (CSI drivers, NFS, Ceph, Pure Storage) Work synergistically with cross-functional DevSecOps and cloud teams, providing technical mentorship to elevate internal platform capabilities. MORE ABOUT YOU Clearance: You must hold a current, active Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance (or higher). Experience: 5 years of dedicated commercial experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift administration or a specialized DevOps engineering capacity. Core Technologies: Deep architectural understanding of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, coupled with strong Linux systems administration skills (ideally RHEL). Containerization & Cloud: Proficiency with runtimes like Docker or CRI-O, and hands-on familiarity with hybrid cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP. Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience utilizing automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm. Networking & Observability: Solid grasp of enterprise networking (DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing) and expertise with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK). Highly Regarded: Official Red Hat certifications, such as RHCSA, RHCE, or EX280 (Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration), will give you a significant edge.
