Analytics Engineer - Location: Melbourne / Hybrid working Daily-Rate: Up to $1,400/day Super Duration: Contract until 31 Dec 2026 (potential to extend) Talenza is partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to secure an experienced Analytics Specialist to join a high-performing Data & Analytics function. This is an exciting opportunity to apply advanced analytics and machine learning expertise to solve complex business problems and drive impactful, data-led decisions. As an Analytics Specialist, you will work closely with business stakeholders and analytics leaders to design, develop and deliver high-value analytical solutions. You'll play a key role in translating business challenges into data-driven insights, leveraging modern tools and techniques across large, complex datasets. Partner with business stakeholders to develop and refine analytical use cases Translate business problems into analytical and machine learning solutions Analyse, interpret and model large datasets to generate actionable insights Rapidly test and iterate hypotheses to solve complex challenges Develop and present clear data visualisations and insights to non-technical audiences Provide subject matter expertise in machine learning to internal teams Lead and coordinate analytics and data science initiatives across onshore and offshore teams Contribute to agile delivery, including sprint planning and effort estimation Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory standards Share knowledge and promote best practices across the analytics community You are a technically strong and commercially minded analytics professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving real-world problems through data. Key Skills & Experience: Experience working with large and complex datasets to generate insights Strong skills in Python, SQL & Databricks Experience working in collaborative development environments Comfortable working in Linux-based systems Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams Exposure to machine learning techniques and frameworks Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline (preferred) High-impact role within a mature data and analytics environment Long-term contract through to end of 2026 Opportunity to work on diverse, business-critical initiatives Competitive daily rate
