In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance. The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide. The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project The Role: The Assistant Accountant supports the financial operations of the project by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial processes. This role is responsible for maintaining high‑quality financial records, assisting with period-end reporting, and supporting key accounting functions including reconciliations, asset management, and lease compliance. Working closely with the finance team and broader project stakeholders, the Assistant Accountant contributes to the effective financial management and integrity of the project’s accounts. Key Responsibilities: Prepare journals and monthly reconciliations Assist month end and year end close activities Manage fixed asset register and supporting schedules Manage leases in line with IFRS 16 Manage employee’s expense claims General tasks related to the financial management of the project About You: Tertiary qualification in Accounting with a minimum 2 years’ accounting experience CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking qualification A genuine interest in Project Accounting Advanced to intermediate MS Excel skills Experience in Construction industry but not necessary We Offer: Your success is our success, and as an Alliance, we are committed to being an employer of choice in Adelaide.
