The Client Our client is a growing Australian SaaS product company operating within the construction technology space. Recently backed by a larger enterprise group, they are entering a new phase of platform maturity and infrastructure uplift. With a strong engineering culture and a pragmatic product mindset, they are investing in modernising their DevOps capability to support continued scale and delivery velocity. The Role This is a hands on DevOps role focused on improving automation, deployment efficiency and infrastructure reliability within a GCP first environment. You will take ownership of a Kubernetes based platform and help evolve the current infrastructure toward a scalable GitOps model. This is not a support heavy role. It is a genuine opportunity to improve systems, reduce manual overhead and enable faster, safer releases. Key responsibilities include: Managing and evolving infrastructure on GCP Working across GKE, Docker and Kubernetes Driving CI CD improvements, ideally with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tooling Delivering meaningful automation uplift across environments Improving deployment speed and reliability You will operate as the primary DevOps engineer within the team, with the autonomy to recommend and implement meaningful improvements. Your Profile You are a confident, hands on DevOps Engineer who enjoys improving systems rather than simply maintaining them. We are looking for: Strong commercial experience in GCP Production Kubernetes experience, ideally GKE Experience implementing or improving CI CD pipelines Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools Experience in SaaS or product led environments A proactive mindset with clear technical communication skills Experience with ArgoCD or GitOps principles will be highly regarded. This role would suit someone comfortable operating in a smaller, collaborative engineering team who values calm, practical technical leadership.
