The role requires someone who is flexible with great communication skills and able to engage with other people of all levels. The successful candidate will have a non-judgemental and empowering manner who is looking to build on their existing project officer skillset. About the role Fixed term full time and fixed term part time position (24 hours per week) until 30 June 2028 Base full time salary: $79,740 - $100,952 (salary is based on experience) The Project Officer plays a key role within the International Programme, supporting the effective implementation of international projects focused on increasing access to quality reproductive and sexual health services in the Pacific region. This is achieved through capacity building partner organisations to provide high quality services including clinical services, community education, health promotion resources and professional education. Specifically, this role is responsible for project coordination, contributions to monitoring and reporting, delivery of health promotion and Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) - related activities, and clinical training (f appropriate), and supporting relationship management with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly within out cervical cancer projects. The role sits within the International Programme team. The position may require to Pacific countries as part of Project activities, including after-hours and weekend travel. Working in countries in the Pacific and in low resource settings requires innovation, flexibility, respect, adaptability and resilience. Ability to work effectively with others in a cross-cultural environment with awareness and sensitivity Ability to travel in the Pacific region Must have full permanent working rights in Australia Desirable Primary nursing degree with current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse or other relevant postgraduate qualification Relevant experience implementing multi-stakeholder international health and/or education projects, particularly in the Pacific region Skills, knowledge or experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights Knowledge of Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles Other requirements A Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
