Based in Newcastle, with four additional offices nationwide, the business is continuing to grow and is now seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to strengthen its Structural and Civil Division (contract/perm). The project portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, including Mining, Petrochemicals, Ports and Marine Structures, Factories, Production and Processing Plants, and Bulk Materials Handling facilities across Australia. Key responsibilities: Lead structural design and analysis across complex brownfield and greenfield projects. Develop, review, and verify structural designs in accordance with Australian Standards and project specifications. Perform advanced structural analysis, including complex loading scenarios, dynamic analysis, and system interactions. Undertake detailed structural steel and concrete design, including beams, columns, foundations, and composite structures. Apply FEA and advanced engineering tools to solve complex structural and plant-related problems. Carry out design verification, peer review, and value engineering (VAVE) to optimise safety, performance, and cost. Conduct structural assessments and audits, preparing technical reports and recommendations for remediation or asset life extension. Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineers and stakeholders to define design requirements and engineering solutions. Present and communicate technical analysis and design outcomes to clients and project teams. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior civil and structural engineers. Chartered Engineer preferred with more than 10 years of experience in structural design, inspection, remediation, and asset management. Extensive experience and proven track record leading both people and projects. Salary Our client offers a competitive remuneration package aligned to experience, with salaries ranging from $125,000 to $160,000 Super, depending on experience and overall package.
