This department is a vital member of Australia’s national security community, working across the full spectrum of operations required of intelligence and security agencies in support of the Australian Government and Australian Defence Force (ADF). The Opportunity There are 2-3 immediate vacancies across the department and we’re seeking experienced and talented EAs at the APS4, 5 or 6 level. Career development opportunity – high profile exposure role Vacant role, likely extension and view to permanency Central location – limited WFH options (1-2 days per week considered) The Role With several vacancies across the agency, you will report to either 2 x SES Band 1’s, or a Band 2. Your key duties will be: Prepare correspondence, including minutes, letters and other written material Manage and organise the diary, travel and appointments Assist with travel and meetings for other academy staff Liaise with other areas of the department and external stakeholders Manage office systems and records using MS Office, SAP and TRIM Provide support for project and research work Undertake administration and coordination tasks for the wider administration staff The Ideal Person You will be friendly and influential with the ability to confidently liaise across senior staff and external bodies. You will need to be up for a challenge, with the ability to work across competing deadlines and provide support to multiple areas at once. You must have a current minimum NV2 Security Clearance and have previous experience as an Executive Assistant in the APS or private sector to be considered.
