About the role Mater Hospital Brisbane is inviting applications from Undergraduate Students in Nursing (USiN) to join our team. These contract positions are based at the South Brisbane campus, with placements within Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit. These contracts will be until the end of your studies, working part time 24hours per fortnight. Salary range: $33.88 - $34.33 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing You will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with patient care as delegated by the RN. You will consistently deliver a high level of clinical care to patients, demonstrating clinical knowledge and consulting with the registered nurse to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient-centered care. You will experience a variety of work in surgical, medical, orthopaedic, oncology and neurology care, and will work closely with nursing colleagues and the greater healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Your scope is in alignment with the knowledge and competency requirements of your university studies, with role expectations as per below. About you You will be an undergraduate student in nursing (having completed 1st semester of 2nd year - full-time equivalent). Documented evidence of completion is mandatory. Demonstrate flexibility to perform in a critical care area Be available to complete shifts at short notice Be committed to excellence in nursing practice and professional development Demonstrate ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team Previous experience in nursing e.g., AIN Why join us?
