THE OPPORTUNITY As an External Auditor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality assurance engagements across a varied portfolio of clients. You’ll gain exposure to businesses of different sizes and industries, working closely with senior leaders who are invested in your technical development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and executing external audit engagements in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards Assessing risk, evaluating internal controls and performing substantive testing Analysing financial information and preparing clear, concise working papers Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve technical queries Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys both the technical and relationship aspects of audit. Ideally, you will have: A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline Commenced or progressing CA ANZ or CPA studies Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team If you’re early in your audit career but keen to step up, this could be the right move.
