The business is experiencing continued growth and increasing operational and reporting complexity, with a strong focus on governance, capital discipline, and sustainable value creation. To support this next phase, the firm is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function and partner closely with executive leadership. Job Description Finance Leadership & Governance Lead the end-to-end finance function, including financial control, FP&A, and transactional finance Ensure strong governance, internal controls, and compliance across all finance activities Act as a key finance representative in executive and board-level forums Financial Reporting & Control Oversee month-end, half-year, and year-end close processes Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial reporting in accordance with AASB and, where applicable, ASX requirements Maintain accounting policies, technical papers, and financial governance frameworks Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management Oversee enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting processes Provide financial insights, performance analysis, and commentary to executive leadership Support strategic planning, capital allocation, and investment decision-making Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Ensure compliance with financial services regulatory requirements Oversee tax compliance including BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG, and income tax Support risk management, audit, and control assurance activities Audit & External Stakeholder Management Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and advisors Lead audit processes and oversee remediation of audit findings Support investor and stakeholder reporting requirements Systems, Process Improvement & Scalability Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes, and reporting capability Support system implementations and process automation initiatives Ensure the finance function is scalable to support growth and increased complexity Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop finance leaders and teams Build a high-performance finance culture focused on accountability and insight Support succession planning and capability development within finance The Successful Applicant CA or CPA qualified Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or equivalent) Experience within PE-backed, ASX-listed, or regulated financial services environments strongly preferred Strong technical accounting and governance capability Commercially minded with experience supporting executive and board decision-making Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement What's on Offer Senior leadership role within a PE-backed or ASX-listed financial services organisation Broad scope across financial control, FP&A, and governance High visibility and influence at executive and board level Opportunity to shape and scale the finance function Competitive senior remuneration package Melbourne-based role with flexible working arrangements
