About the Company KiaCon Pty Ltd is a Victorian-based construction company delivering residential and low-rise building projects across Melbourne. All construction activities are carried out in compliance with Victorian building regulations and under the direction of appropriately licensed building professionals. As our project pipeline grows, we are seeking a Building Associate to support site-based coordination and project delivery. About the Role This is a full-time, on-site support role based across active construction sites in Melbourne. The Building Associate position is a non-licensed, support-based role and does not carry the responsibilities of a registered builder or site supervisor. All construction activities are undertaken under the direction of an appropriately licensed builder or appointed project manager, in accordance with Victorian building regulations. Key Responsibilities The Building Associate will assist with the following under direction: • Assist with on-site coordination and monitoring of construction activities.• Support day-to-day site operations including scheduling, sequencing, and progress tracking.• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to support accurate execution.• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants as directed.• Assist with organising material deliveries and labour coordination.• Conduct routine site observations and report progress, issues, or risks to the licensed builder or project manager.• Assist in implementing WHS procedures and report hazards or incidents in accordance with site requirements.• Support preparation of site diaries, inspection records, and construction documentation.• Participate in site meetings and provide updates as requested. Required Qualifications and Experience • Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction (mandatory).• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction support, coordination, or site-based role.• Working knowledge of Australian construction processes and WHS requirements.• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and technical documents.• Strong organisational and communication skills.• Current White Card.• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
