About the role As Team Leader – Community & Day Programs, you’ll provide leadership across our NDIS‑funded community and day services. You’ll guide a team of Disability Support Workers, ensuring programs are safe, engaging, person‑centred, and aligned with participant goals. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture of the service — fostering inclusion, encouraging creativity, and ensuring every participant has opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally. You’ll also act as a trusted link between staff, families, and external agencies to ensure our programs remain responsive and impactful. This is a permanent full‑time role , working at our Waitara office and reporting to the Manager of Community and Day Program. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support Disability Support Workers to deliver person‑centred, high‑quality care. Build strong, positive relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders. Ensure staff are trained, supported, and confident in their practice. Monitor program quality, safety, and participant outcomes. Identify opportunities for improvement and help drive positive change. Oversee compliance, reporting, finances, rosters, and performance management. Coordinate engaging social and community activities that foster connection and growth. Mandatory Requirements Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, or related. NSW Driver Licence and insured vehicle. Working With Children Check. Current First Aid & CPR. NDIS Worker Check Orientation Module. Experience & Skills 3 years’ experience in disability support with responsibility for coordination or leadership functions. Sound knowledge of community-based NDIS programs, group activities, and the needs of individuals with disabilities, with a strong focus on promoting social inclusion, independence, and community engagement. Proven experience in proactively identifying challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement within programs, ensuring services evolve to meet changing need Lead with purpose.
