THE ROLE Working in the Child Safety Reform Implementation Branch, this position will support transformational change at the SSR and contribute to the government's child safety reform agenda. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Child Safety Reform, the Senior Operational Policy and Project Officer will support the timely delivery of enhancements to the WWCC scheme in line with legislative requirements and government and organisational objectives. It will play a key leadership role in the development of new operational policies and processes to support the effective future operation of the WWCC scheme. The role requires systems thinking, adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic environment, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to ensure effective coordination of activities across multiple regulatory schemes and multiple areas within the SSR. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Day-to-day your responsibilities will include: Plan, develop and implement critical child safety reform projects, including the development of new operational policies and processes. Provide clear, timely, accurate, succinct and solution-focused advice, written and verbal briefings, correspondence and reports. Undertake research and analysis of operational policy and process issues relevant to the development and implementation of the child safety reforms. Support the development of metrics and reporting to monitor project progress, evaluate impact, and support the decision-making of the Regulator and internal governance committees.
