About the role: This is a high impact internal communications role at the centre of the OPP. You will lead delivery of the 2026 Communications Plan and design and commence delivery of the 2027 plan to support the OPP's Strategic Plan 2026-2029. Working closely with senior leaders, People and Culture, and legal and corporate teams, you will help shape culture, and keep our workforce informed, connected and engaged. Key Responsibilities In this stand-alone role, you will balance strategic thinking with practical, high-impact delivery. You will: Deliver the 2026 Communications Plan and develop and commence delivery of the 2027 plan to support OPP values and goals. Lead and deliver core internal channels including quarterly all-staff events, monthly newsletters, people leader updates, and intranet content. Prepare clear, impactful speaking notes and communications advice for senior leaders, including the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions. Develop and deliver communications plans that support organisational change, collaborating with the Change Lead, People and Culture, and leaders. Maintain the OPP website and coordinate delivery of the OPP Annual Report. Produce quarterly performance reports and continually improve communication impact using data-driven insights. To be successful, you will bring: Educational Foundation: A relevant tertiary degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Sector Expertise: A strong background in internal communications, ideally within a legal, regulatory, or public sector context. Strategic Content Delivery: The ability to translate complex information into engaging content for diverse audiences and digital platforms, underpinned by integrity, sound judgement, high emotional intelligence and trusted relationships with senior executives and staff at all levels. Engagement Mastery: Strong professional experience in internal communications and employee engagement, with a proven track record of creating and delivering impactful information and cohesive narratives that connect a diverse workforce to organisational goals—ideally within a legal, regulatory or public sector context. * Digital & Analytical Proficiency: Technical proficiency in managing modern digital communication ecosystems, including intranets, CMS platforms (website management), and newsletter software. You possess the ability to use digital analytics to measure engagement levels and drive continuous improvement.
