About the opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Underground team to lead the delivery of a trenchless sewer project. The project involves deep shaft construction and significant temporary works, with a mix of self-perform tunnelling works and specialist subcontract delivery. Beyond this project, the role will contribute to the delivery of Abergeldie’s growing pipeline of tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects across our national portfolio. As a Project Manager in our Underground team, you will; Lead end-to-end project delivery to achieve program, budget, safety and quality objectives. Manage delivery risks associated with underground works including ground conditions, temporary works, shaft construction and tunnelling operations. Manage multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers across multiple work fronts. Drive strong commercial outcomes including cost control, forecasting, reporting and claims management. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders. Lead and develop high-performing project teams and foster a strong safety culture. What you’ll bring to the team Significant experience delivering tunnelling, microtunnelling, pipe jacking or other trenchless underground infrastructure projects, including shaft construction. Ability to lead complex underground projects within major infrastructure environments, managing multidisciplinary teams, specialist subcontractors and multiple work fronts. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities and delivery partners. A strong commitment to safety leadership and building high performing project teams. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. Why join us ?
