Partner with the CEO, senior leaders, and practice groups to provide commercial insights and decision‑support. Prepare profitability analysis across clients, matters, teams, and partners to identify improvement opportunities. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems and support ongoing development of analytical capability. Develop SQL queries and work with datasets to streamline reporting and improve data accessibility. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and forward‑looking financial modelling. The Successful Applicant A successful Financial Business Analyst should have: Brings proven experience as a Financial Business Analyst, Management Accountant, or similar role within a law firm or professional services environment. Understands core law‑firm profitability metrics including utilisation, leverage, recovery, pricing, matter margins, and partner performance. Demonstrates advanced Excel capability, with confidence in dissecting and improving complex reporting models. Has working knowledge of SQL, including writing, modifying, and maintaining queries for reporting and analysis. Possesses strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and a natural problem‑solving mindset. Experienced in maintaining established reporting frameworks and driving enhancements to improve accuracy and insight. Holds tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or has equivalent practical experience.
