This is a Finance Officer role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - mid level More about the Finance Officer role at Queensland Government We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This role is required to support the accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and rental bond processing functions in-line with strategic objectives and legislative requirements. This position is a permanent, full-time role and is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible working arrangements. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our finance team, managing end-to-end accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation processes. You will oversee daily lodgement bank reconciliations for rental bonds and process refunds through accounts payable. As a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, you will ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time while providing support and resolving queries as they arise. To Be Successful You Will Need Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, with strong end-to-end processing capability Demonstrated ability to manage bank reconciliations, including identifying discrepancies and investigating and resolving issues efficiently Solid understanding of accounting principles as they apply to accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation processes Excellent communication skills, ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide support to ensure financial processes are completed accurately and on time Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills Experience working with Microsoft dynamics is highly regarded.
