The key duties of the position include The Role The Technical Integrity Manager (TIM) is a technical appointment which provides governance and assurance functions in support of Land and Maritime capabilities for Defence across the Joint Logistic Unit-North Queensland (JLU-NQ) region. You will audit materiel and services at JLU-NQ to ensure compliance is maintained with legislative requirements, inclusive of Defence policy, regulations and instructions. The role requires the application of judgement and initiative in the interpretation of policy and guidance, and the ability to provide considered advice on technical compliance related matters. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures, ensuring they align with Defence capability and sustainment objectives. Under limited direction, you will ensure that maintenance requirements are conducted in accordance with approved technical data and correctly recorded and maintained. The TIM will ensure that JLU-NQ technical staff are competent and qualified to undertake assigned technical functions. You will undertake technical research and analysis as part of defect reporting in support of Defence materiel life cycles. The TIM will provide technical advice to maintenance and equipment managers including identification of risks to technical integrity. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will interpret technical and logistic policy, processes and procedures to enable you to provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders to achieve Defence outcomes. About our Team Joint Logistic Unit (North Queensland) is an enthusiastic and professional mix of military and civilian employees who are passionate about supporting soldiers, sailors and aviators across North Queensland. The team is comprises of people with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, all drawn together by the desire to support the work of the ADF. The unit is dedicated to delivering essential logistics services including warehousing, distribution, equipment maintenance and clothing store support to enable military operations. It does this from modern facilities on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland)'s span of responsibility stretches from Rockhampton in the South, to Thursday Island in the North. The unit utilises a broad range of internal skills, together with close relationships with local industry suppliers, to provide excellent logistics support to a wide range of military units across North Queensland.
