Position Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our Woodridge workshop on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including fleet and customer vehicles. This role requires a motivated tradesperson who can work independently, manage workloads efficiently, and maintain high technical and safety standards within a fast-paced workshop environment. Key Responsibilities ● Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic equipment and technical manuals. ● Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, clutches, braking systems, steering and suspension components. ● Conduct routine servicing including oil and filter changes, engine tune-ups, brake servicing and fluid replacements. ● Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure vehicles meet Australian roadworthy and safety standards. ● Carry out inspections and servicing of company fleet and customer vehicles to ensure reliability and performance. ● Identify potential mechanical issues early to minimise downtime and prevent major repairs. ● Test and adjust mechanical systems after repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. ● Conduct road tests and final quality checks prior to vehicle handover. ● Maintain accurate job cards, service records and parts usage documentation. ● Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and maintain a clean workshop environment. ● Use workshop tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition. ● Coordinate with parts suppliers to source required components in a timely manner. ● Work collaboratively with other mechanics and apprentices to maintain productivity and service quality. Requirements ● Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised qualification). ● Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic. ● Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and steering systems. ● Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals. ● Solid understanding of Australian roadworthy and safety standards. ● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ● Valid Australian driver’s licence. ● Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
