About the role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter Mechanic to join our team at Rockmate Landscape Supplies at North Maclean, Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicles. What you'll be doing Performing mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance and repair of diesel engine components, mechanical systems, and associated equipment. Diagnosing mechanical faults and dismantling engines, transmissions, pumps, and other mechanical assemblies to repair or replace worn or defective parts. Fitting, assembling, and installing mechanical components, ensuring correct tolerances, alignment, and operational performance. Conducting scheduled maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and mechanical systems to ensure reliability and compliance with operational standards. Using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools to test, adjust, and verify the performance of mechanical components and systems. Reassembling mechanical units following repair and conducting operational testing to confirm correct functioning. Keeping detailed records of all work performed and parts used Adhering to all relevant safety standards and compliance requirements Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members Maintaining a clean and organised work environment What we're looking for Minimum of 3 years' experience as a mechanical fitting, maintenance and repair of diesel-powered machinery or heavy mechanical equipment.
