This role delivers expert civil engineering assessment of subdivision and development applications, ensuring compliance with Council standards, specifications, and legislation. You’ll apply strong technical judgement to resolve complex engineering matters and guide developers, consultants, Councillors, and the community toward high‑quality, compliant development outcomes. About the role: Assess, approve and inspect public infrastructure, subdivisions and development works for Council. Use strong engineering judgement to evaluate complex applications and determine Subdivision Works Certificate. Carry out construction and final inspections to ensure full compliance with standards and legislation. Communicate confidently and resolve issues with developers, consultants, contractors and the community. Prepare clear reports, provide expert advice, coordinate across Council teams and support policy improvements.
