About the position: Reporting into the Transport Manager, the Transport Allocator is responsible for daily delivery allocation. This consists of building runs for the delivery team to complete which will need to be delivered to customers’ premises in a timely manner. The Transport Allocator will operate with a continual focus on safety, service, cost and team. The Transport Allocator will operate and align with company values. Position Responsibilities: ● Ensure that all incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards are reported in a timely manner to the Transport Manager. ● Ensure you operate in line with safety and handling inductions and training. ● Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures. ● Responsible for ensuring that all people on-site at the DC follow all relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) in accordance with the National Safety Plan. ● Driver Safety ● Chain of Responsibility ● Build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Shift details: Monday to Friday with approximate hours from 12pm - 8pm, with flexibility to be contacted outside these times. Qualifications: ● 2 years transport and logistics experience ● Previous allocating experience preferred but not essential ● Experience managing Chain of Responsibility compliance ● Strong safety-focused including safe manual handling knowledge and experience ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● Problem-solving ability ● Results and targets driven with a proactive can do approach. ● Intermediate level computer literacy including Google Suite, Microsoft Office and the use of large ERP/WMS/TMS systems Why Join Us?
