Our Hotel The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a classic establishment near Sydney’s CBD, boasts 275 well-appointed guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets, and 11 function rooms. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Reservations Supervisor to join our team, support our Team, and help ensure guest requirements are always met with delivery of exceptional service. Job Description What you will be doing/ Key Responsibilities • Ensure correct documentation is received for all payment details. • Process and input reservations following hotel reservations policy. • Liaise with conference and events to accept/decline group room requests. • Manage cancellations, pick up and release dates. • Ensure the charges for the released rooms are communicated to the client and processed. • Manage all group billing issues and resolve and account disputes, and liaise with Assistant Managers on account enquiries and disputes. • Take personal responsibility to ensure that all enquiries are addressed. • Ensure stop sells on room types, market segments and/or rate levels are enforced when appropriate. • Actively upsell. • Coordinate group reservations ensuring contract rates are loaded correctly into reservations to maximise efficiency and eliminate revenue rebates. • Maintain a positive selling approach to maximise yield in both occupancy and rates. • Ensure arrivals list is checked on a daily basis, displaying correct rate and market codes. • Ensure the Hotel Guarantee Policy is promoted and adhered to. • Consistently deliver a product and service to meet the quality, standards and expectation of customers. • Active management of group blocks and wash. Ensure this is managed effectively and communicated to other departments. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: · Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar environment, with supervisory experience and qualifications · Strong computer and systems skills preferably in Opera. · Ability to work a variety of shifts. · Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures. · Time management skills with the ability to independently multitask and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment. · An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments · Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills. · Strong personal integrity and good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members. · Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
