Learn more about us and what we do at aware.com.au Your New Role We're looking for a Corporate Accounts and Insurance Consultant to join our Protect team within the Member Engagement Value Stream. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate, timely and member‑focused insurance and corporate account administration, working closely with internal stakeholders and external insurers. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail, knowledge of superannuation insurance, and commitment to great member outcomes will make a real difference. Some responsibilities include: Administer insurance underwriting applications, including managing exceptions that can't be automatically processed; Process corporate account insurance activities, including salary‑based insurance calculations and annual salary reviews; Reconcile employer‑paid insurance premiums, manual contributions and refunds; Prepare and issue member and employer correspondence via phone (preferred channel) and email; Liaise with insurers to lodge applications, follow up outstanding cases and resolve queries; Support complaints, incident management, and remediation activities related to insurance and data quality; Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting; Contribute to risk, compliance and incident management activities in line with our Risk Management Framework; and Provide guidance and training to colleagues on complex or high‑volume exception processing. How do you exceed our expectations? The idea of being part of our growth is exciting and you want to play a pivotal role in making super simple; Certificate IV in Superannuation (ASFA 100) or Diploma of Superannuation Administration; RG146 compliance for superannuation is preferred and qualifications in insurance or a related field is advantageous; Proven experience in superannuation insurance, ideally in a customer‑focused environment and in managing data quality issues and complex exceptions within registry systems; Strong knowledge of corporate account plans, insurance policies, underwriting processes and personal‑to‑corporate transfers; High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities; Sound judgement and the ability to make balanced, risk‑aware decisions and a genuine care for members and a strong sense of accountability for outcomes; You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face.
