About The Role At Origin, we’re leading Australia’s energy transition, and our People & Culture team play a vital role in making good change happen. As the Specialist Consultant – Industrial & Employee Relations, you’ll be a key trusted advisor on complex ER and IR matters across Origin. Working alongside an experienced, like-minded team, you’ll influence outcomes, coach leaders, and guide fair, consistent and compliant people practices. You’ll support both our culture and commercial objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Leading complex ER case management, including misconduct, and other sensitive matters requiring sound judgement. Providing expert IR and ER advice and coaching to leaders, influencing outcomes and uplifting capability across Origin. Driving IR and ER compliance and supporting our contracts governance activities. Supporting enterprise bargaining initiatives, from strategy development through to negotiation and implementation. Supporting major organisational change, including restructures, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. What will you bring? We’re looking for someone who brings a powerful blend of ER acumen, IR expertise, and the ability to operate confidently across a fast paced, enterprise-wide environment. You’ll also demonstrate: Proven experience in ER/IR within complex, unionised organisations. Strong knowledge of Australian employment law. Proven capability in enterprise bargaining and workplace investigations. High-level influencing, negotiation and mediation skills. Ability to solve complex problems with commercial, pragmatic thinking. Experience advocating in the Fair Work Commission or similar tribunals. Must have a degree in business, law, employee or industrial relations. It’s a bonus if you have a mediator qualification or project management expertise.
