About The Opportunity We are seeking 2 Community Law Enforcement Officers to join our our fast‑paced Community Law Enforcement team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will carry out a range of regulatory functions, including detecting and monitoring breaches of the NSW Road Rules, with a strong focus on high‑risk areas such as school zones, shopping precincts and transport hubs. You will also play a key part in upholding Council policies and statutory responsibilities. This includes preparing statements of evidence, working closely with Council’s solicitors, and representing Council in court when enforcement action is required. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service capabilities, well‑developed problem‑solving skills, and the confidence to engage with the community in a fair and professional manner. Essential Qualifications and experience Ability to electronically write reports or court briefs of evidence that are legible Relevant local government experience in a similar capacity Demonstrated ability to work constructively and actively as a member of a team, to undertake a diverse range of activities Current class C driver's licence Clearance of National Police Check Demonstrated experience in customer service. Desirable Understanding of the profession and the role of local government Successful completion of appropriate Self Enforcement Infringement Notice Scheme (SEINS) Knowledge of relevant issues and applicable legislation/regulations High degree of understanding and experience in using computer software systems, word processing, email and internet to assist with written communications. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Remuneration And Benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
