This is a trusted‑advisor role offering genuine influence across high‑value transactions, long‑term tenure arrangements and strategic portfolio management initiatives. The Opportunity You will play a key role in advising the business on complex property matters and supporting strategic growth initiatives. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and Key responsibilities include: Leading the drafting and negotiation of long‑term leases and tenure arrangements , including site access, ground leases and portfolio‑wide agreements Advising on property and asset acquisitions , including transaction structuring, due diligence, negotiation and completion Providing strategic oversight of an extensive existing property portfolio , including renewals, extensions, relocations, consents and dispute management Supporting new business initiatives, including bids, tenders and emerging business lines Advising on planning, land tax, stamp duty and other property‑related issues Managing regulatory and compliance matters impacting the property portfolio Delivering clear, pragmatic legal advice to senior internal stakeholders across the business About You You will be a confident and commercially astute property lawyer who is comfortable operating at a senior level within a complex organisation. You will bring: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission as a solicitor in Australia 6-8 years’ PQE , gained in a leading mid‑tier or top‑tier law firm and/or a sophisticated in‑house environment Strong experience across property, leasing, tenure and acquisition matters A proven ability to manage complex, high‑value transactions Excellent drafting, negotiation and advisory skills A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders The ability to manage a demanding workload with minimal supervision Occasional travel to operational sites may be required.
