Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof. What Will I Be Doing? The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across rooms, events, and ancillary services. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, travel partners, and industry stakeholders while creating long-term business strategies aligned with the hotel’s commercial objectives. The role combines strategic planning, relationship management, market intelligence, and executional excellence, with an emphasis on sustainable revenue growth and corporate, MICE and leisure market share expansion . Your key responsibilities will include: Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting local, regional, and national clients including Corporate Companies, PCO’s Corporate and Leisure FIT, Travel Managers and Travel Management Companies. Identify new business opportunities in line with hotel positioning, brand, and commercial objectives. Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to align corporate acquisition strategies. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to inform strategy and prioritise target accounts. Establish key performance metrics to measure the success of business development initiatives. Relationship & Account Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, PCO’s leisure and corporate travel managers, and decision-makers. Identify and secure new clients across multiple sectors. Manage and nurture pipeline activity from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Liaise with internal departments (Operations, Sales, Marketing, Events) to ensure client requirements are met. Sales & Revenue Generation Deliver revenue growth targets through new corporate account acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. Negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate rates in line with hotel policies. Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns, offers, and promotions that attract corporate clients. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activity, pipeline, and revenue projections. Networking, Industry & Events Represent the hotel at corporate, industry, and networking events to build awareness and generate leads. Participate in industry associations, exhibitions, and conferences relevant to corporate and leisure travel, MICE and business markets. Organise client events, site inspections, and familiarisations to showcase the hotel offering. Market Intelligence & Reporting Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities and threats. Maintain accurate CRM records and update pipeline activity regularly. Produce reports on business development performance, revenue contribution, and ROI on corporate initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market trends and client needs. Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure integrated commercial strategies and client satisfaction. Work closely with Finance and Revenue teams to maximise yield and profitability from all market segments.
