Position Summary As a Field Services Engineer at SAGE, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support for engineering and technical tasks on complex Service works. The incumbent carries out and supports the delivery of services including minor works, repairs and preventative maintenance on PLC, SCADA and HMI equipment and software for clients of SAGE. You will support the National Operations Centre to provide remote technical support services providing both remote point of contact for technical issues arising within the specialised projects which they are delivering and across the broader Service Team. You will assist with training and mentoring of less experienced Automation Technicians and Engineers when required. You will also be responsible for undertaking account management for contracted customers, and participating in project work nationally as required. In This Role, You Will Implement safety plans and apply a safety-first approach to every aspect of service delivery. Apply creativity and resourcefulness to resolving problems that arise from service and maintenance tasks and apply concepts and strategies that may require non-traditional methods to achieve overall results. Provide the first response and/or support the resolution for all new and urgent works as required. Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to management. Manage the quality of technical deliverables. Mentor and support the technical development of Automation Technicians Legibly document repairs and service records, and ensure they are kept up to date Skills And Experience Appropriate Engineering qualifications or verifiable industry experience working as an Engineer. Minimum of two year’s experience within the automation industry. Demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles.
